See, I knew about the Maurica videos, but my man DJ Kool Kear (aka Honeyhands Juska) put me on to the official music video, which basically turned a normal weekend into a special weekend. Enjoy.

We hit the studios at WFMU last night to celebrate the impending ending of Noah Zark’s 7-year run as quirky, amiable, Jersey-centric hip hop dude on the best station around. Joints were played. Shit was talked. Homemade, illegally-smuggled Serbian brandy was toasted with.

Shout out to Peter Agoston for playing THE JOINTS! before we got on. Shout out to Joe Duffy for bringing (almost) every piece of Junk Science wax with him to the studio. And of course, shout out to Noah. WFMU is a magnet for true music fans (read nerds), DJs who get more joy from sharing their music collection with the world than from glory-grubbing and boosting their own egos. Noah is that nerd, and he will be missed.

I think we all learned a lot about ourselves, and each other, and ourselves. We took a walk in the woods and Snafu showed us which mushrooms are safe to eat. Scott Thorough taught us all the meaning of life. And Cavalier had his first Smore!
